Mrs. Dee Clark
Entrepreneur, Educator, and Devoted Mother
Born and raised in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky, Mrs. Dee Clark is a beacon of commitment and service in her community. A proud alumna of Bryan Station High School (Class of 1981) and Eastern Kentucky University (EKU), where she graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Not only did she excel academically, but Mrs. Clark also demonstrated her prowess on the tennis courts, playing four years on the EKU Tennis Team.
Her passion for education led her to pursue a teaching certification from Asbury College, transitioning her skills from the courts and corporate world to the classroom. For 22 years, Mrs. Clark dedicated herself to shaping young minds as an elementary school teacher, a role that she cherished deeply.
In 2018, Mrs. Clark embarked on a new venture as the owner of a daycare center, where she continues to impact the lives of children and families. Her experience as a mother of four and her extensive background in education have made her daycare a nurturing, educational, and safe environment for children.
Mrs. Clark's life is a testament to her dedication to education, community, and family, making her a respected and admired figure in Lexington and beyond.
Danielle Townsend
Childcare Director and Dedicated Professional
Danielle Townsend, a Lexington, Kentucky native, has established herself as a committed leader in the field of childcare. After graduating from Scott County High School in 2014, she pursued her higher education at Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC), where she earned an Associate’s Degree in General Studies by 2016.
Danielle’s professional journey in childcare began in 2018, reflecting her passion for nurturing and educational development. With a deep commitment to excellence in early childhood education, she stepped into the role of director in 2022, where she has since been making significant impacts in program development and staff leadership.
Balancing her professional endeavors with personal commitments, Danielle is also a devoted mother to three children. Her firsthand experience as a parent intertwines with her professional skills, providing her with unique insights that enhance her effectiveness and empathy as a childcare director.
Danielle's dedication to fostering a safe and stimulating environment for children under her care makes her a respected and beloved figure in her community.
DJ Townsend
Educator and Community Advocate
DJ Townsend, a Somerset, Kentucky native, has successfully merged his passion for sports with his commitment to community service. Graduating from Rowan County High School in 2012, DJ went on to attend Georgetown College where he played on the Men’s Basketball Team until 2015. His love for sports didn't just stay on the court; it also steered his academic path towards a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management, which he completed at Midway University in 2019. During his time at Midway, he continued to showcase his basketball skills on the university's Men's Basketball Team.
Beyond the basketball court, DJ is deeply committed to his community. He is an active member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, an organization known for its dedication to brotherhood, scholarship, and service. DJ also serves as a board member for "The Home Of Opportunities & Dreams," a nonprofit organization focused on providing resources and support to the less fortunate. His role in the nonprofit sector underscores his commitment to making a tangible difference in his community.
On the home front, DJ is a devoted father of three children, whose presence adds joy and purpose to his life. His role as a father deeply influences his work, inspiring him to contribute to building a better future for all children in his community.
